The Child Concern Center has been so blessed by the Poplar Bluff Regional Giving Circle. We were the recipients of one of their first donations, which made it possible to purchase a new clothes washer, dryer, freezer and some cabinetry for our building. We would never have been able to have these items without their generous donation. My husband and I are members of this wonderful organization and encourage everyone to make the small donation that is necessary to make this Circle of Giving possible for other nonprofit organizations.
My wife and I feel honored to be a part of the Poplar Bluff Regional Giving Circle. We are glad to know our gifts can be pooled with other gifts to help charitable causes in our community. The Giving Circle reminds us that we are “fellow pilgrims” on this journey through life. We are grateful we were introduced to this method of giving. It is indeed a privilege.
Over the years, I have been involved with different service organizations, yet it is the Giving Circle that gives me the most gratification. Members of this service organization search out worthy causes that are in need of financial assistance. I am particularly impressed with the significant amount of money that goes to meet a deserving project where numerous people can benefit. An added advantage is that all donations are used in the Poplar Bluff area.
So many times I have seen a need and ignored it because what little would my money do. Poplar Bluff Regional Giving Circle takes care of that problem by multiplying my money. I’m reminded of the little boy who gave Jesus the fish, and He fed the multitudes. He didn’t really need the fish to perform a miracle, but he let the boy help to teach us a lesson. Jesus chooses to use me to help “feed the multitudes”. He could do it Himself, but He allows me to help through the Giving Circle.
